On 17-18 June 2010 Guillermo Bettocchi, the Deputy Director of the Regional Bureau for Europe of the UN Refugee Agency pays an official visit to the Republic of Belarus. The visit to Minsk is the last leg of his regional mission, following the trips to Moldova and Ukraine.

In Minsk Guillermo Bettocchi will hold several meetings with Senior Officials of the Ministries of Interior, Foreign Affairs and the State Border Committee. The Deputy Director also plans to meet other stakeholders from the UN system and conduct consultations with public organizations assisting refugees. During his stay in Minsk he will meet refugees and asylum seekers to hear about their experience and perspectives for integration in Belarus.
